West Lothian Housing Partnership

Introduction

An especially warm welcome to you if you live in a Partnership house. We will be bringing you useful information on who to contact, reporting repairs, how to comment on our service, the ability to check our policies, access to the tenant handbook, etc. We are always looking for suggestions as to how we might improve our service to you and that goes for the web site too. 

As a local housing association, we are committed to tackling the housing needs of communities in West Lothian. We manage properties in Boghall, Bathgate, Broxburn, Blackburn, Craigshill, Stoneyburn and West Calder.

As you would expect, partnership is central to our approach. Our partnership with West Lothian Council has developed into promoting the role of our tenants on our Board and in their communities.

Winter Weather

Last winter, we experienced some of the coldest weather and the worst snow and ice that we have seen for many years. This affected roofs and water pipes in some houses while the blocked roads restricted our contractors’ ability to respond as quickly as would have liked.

 There are some things you can do to help:

• In the case of frozen pipes, usually found under your kitchen sink, gently heating the frozen area with a hairdryer will usually assist, but remember to keep both hot and cold taps on.
• On very cold nights keep your heating on, at a lower temperature if you prefer.
• In the very worst weather, be aware of icicles and loose gutters above external doors and stair entrances.
